According to LVMPD, the incident began around 5:25 a.m. on November 12, 2025, when a caller reported a hit-and-run collision near South Arville Street and Blue Diamond Road. The victim told police he began following the truck that struck his vehicle in an attempt to obtain identifying information.

As the vehicles traveled north toward West Russell Road and Torrey Pines Drive, the situation escalated. Police say the suspect in the pickup fired a gun toward the victim’s vehicle while they were still in motion. No one was struck by the gunfire, and no property damage was reported.

After the shot was fired, the victim stopped following the truck and waited for officers to arrive.
