LAS VEGAS (Las Vegas News) — Southern Nevada residents experiencing homelessness or struggling to maintain stable housing will have an opportunity Wednesday to receive free medical care, housing assistance, legal support and other essential services at a communitywide event in downtown Las Vegas.
The Nevada Homeless Alliance will host its Fall 2026 Project Homeless Connect on Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the World Market Center, 475 S. Grand Central Parkway.
Organizers expect between 800 and 1,000 people to attend, with several hundred volunteers helping connect individuals and families to resources, according to an Oct. 27 announcement from the Nevada Resort Association.
The event is intended to make assistance easier to obtain by bringing multiple service providers together at one location, reducing the need for people facing housing instability to navigate separate agencies and appointments.

Free medical care, housing assistance and legal services
According to the Nevada Homeless Alliance’s event announcement, attendees will be able to connect with providers offering medical and dental care, vision services, housing and shelter resources, employment assistance, legal aid, mental health and recovery support.
Other planned services include clothing, haircuts, assistance for families and young people, and pet care. Lunch will also be available at no cost.
For someone without stable housing, addressing several urgent needs can mean visiting different agencies, arranging transportation and navigating separate eligibility processes. Project Homeless Connect is structured to bring participating organizations together so attendees can seek multiple forms of assistance during one visit.
The event also includes housing-focused support. The regional Help Hope Home network describes plans for housing navigation, benefits assistance and conversations intended to help participants identify possible solutions to their immediate housing problems.
Those services may help connect attendees with longer-term resources, although attending the event does not itself establish eligibility for housing or guarantee placement.
Health district’s Street Medicine Team to participate
The Southern Nevada Health District’s Street Medicine Team is also expected to participate in Wednesday’s event.
A Las Vegas-Clark County Library District event notice says the team’s regularly scheduled Nov. 4 clinic at Clark County Library has been canceled because the team will be at Project Homeless Connect instead.
The Street Medicine Team provides health services to people experiencing homelessness, including individuals living on streets, in vehicles, in tents or in shelters.
Its participation adds another health care resource to an event designed to connect residents with medical assistance and other support in one setting.
Las Vegas resort industry among community supporters
The Nevada Resort Association and member companies participating in its Corporate Social Responsibility Coalition are supporting Project Homeless Connect through donations and volunteer participation, according to the association’s announcement.
The effort brings together private-sector supporters, nonprofit organizations, public agencies and volunteers working to help residents facing homelessness or housing insecurity.
The association did not specify the total value of the donations or identify individual resort contributions in its Oct. 27 announcement.
Connecting people with help beyond a single event
Project Homeless Connect is part of the Nevada Homeless Alliance’s broader work to coordinate services for people experiencing homelessness in Southern Nevada.
The organization also operates smaller outreach events throughout the year, connecting residents with housing resources, health care, employment assistance and basic necessities.
According to the alliance’s program description, its mobile outreach model is intended to bring assistance closer to communities where the need is greatest.
Wednesday’s larger gathering offers an opportunity for individuals and families to speak directly with multiple providers and seek immediate assistance as well as referrals for continuing support.
How to attend or get assistance
Individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability are encouraged to visit the World Market Center between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Admission and advertised services are free. The organizers’ public event information does not specify whether attendees need identification, advance registration or appointments for particular services. Anyone with questions about documentation or eligibility should consult the official event page before attending.
People who cannot attend but need assistance can also contact Nevada 211 by dialing 211 or calling 1-866-535-5654. The resource service connects Nevada residents with information about housing, food, health care and other community assistance.
For those who can attend, Wednesday’s event offers a chance to connect directly with organizations that may help address immediate needs and identify possible next steps toward greater housing stability.
