Las Vegas News announcement

LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas News has launched a Network Partner Program that allows approved social media creators, bloggers, website publishers, newsletter operators and community administrators to distribute the publication’s journalism through personalized article links.

The initiative is designed for people and organizations that already share news, entertainment, public-safety information, interviews and community stories with authentic online audiences. Partners can select relevant coverage, generate a unique link and review referred-reader activity through a private performance dashboard.

Las Vegas News said the program is intended to broaden responsible distribution while giving participating publishers clearer insight into the audiences they refer. Approved partners may qualify for performance-based reader rewards, subject to engagement, verification, traffic-quality and program requirements.

A distribution program built around authentic audiences

People routinely discover journalism through social media posts, newsletters, websites, blogs, forums and online communities. The new program creates a formal connection between that sharing activity and Las Vegas News’ independent newsroom.

The publication covers Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada and stories of broader public interest. Its reporting ecosystem also includes original interviews and video reporting on Las Vegas News TV, giving partners a range of articles and topics to consider for their audiences.

A large following is not the only factor considered. A smaller publisher with an active, relevant audience may refer more meaningful readership than an account with a much larger but disengaged following. Application reviews may consider audience authenticity, content relevance, sharing methods and the applicant’s ability to comply with program standards.

How to get paid to share news articles

The Network Partner Program is structured around a straightforward distribution process:

  1. Choose an article. An approved partner selects Las Vegas News coverage that is likely to interest the partner’s audience.
  2. Generate a personal link. The Partner Sharing Center creates a trackable link associated with the partner’s account.
  3. Share it responsibly. The link may be shared through permitted channels such as Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, websites, blogs, newsletters, forums or community groups.
  4. Refer real readers. Visits through the link are recorded and evaluated under the program’s engagement and traffic-quality standards.
  5. Review performance. The partner dashboard displays shared links, referred activity, qualified readership and available performance information.
Important distinction: A referred visit may be recorded without becoming a verified qualified reader. Qualification depends on legitimate reader activity that satisfies the program’s validation and traffic-quality requirements.

Complete eligibility, qualification, reward and payout details are available on the Las Vegas News Network Partner application page.

What counts as a qualified reader?

A qualified reader is not simply any recorded click. The program evaluates referred activity to distinguish legitimate audience engagement from duplicate, automated, manipulated or low-quality traffic.

Las Vegas News does not publicly disclose every validation signal because doing so could make anti-fraud safeguards easier to evade. The program’s stated objective is to recognize authentic readers who intentionally follow a shared link and meaningfully engage with the journalism.

Prohibited methods include bots, purchased traffic, click exchanges, repeated self-clicking, forced or incentivized clicks, misleading captions, unsolicited bulk messages, spam and other artificial methods. Activity that violates program rules may be excluded, placed under review or result in account restrictions.

Partners also are expected to represent stories accurately. Headlines, captions and commentary used to share coverage should not materially misstate what an article reports. The publication’s editorial standards provide additional context about accuracy, corrections, sourcing and transparency.

Performance tools for participating publishers

Approved partners receive access to tools built for article distribution rather than advertising sales. The dashboard is designed to help participants identify which stories are attracting interest and how referred activity is progressing through the qualification process.

Available information may include shared links, recorded visits, qualified-reader activity, recent performance and reward-related account details. Tracking and data handling remain subject to the program terms and the Las Vegas News privacy policy.

The launch follows other investments in the publication’s audience and advertising infrastructure, including its direct self-serve advertising platform. The two systems serve different participants: one helps distribute journalism to interested readers, while the other helps businesses reach Las Vegas audiences through advertising.

Who may apply?

The program may be relevant to applicants who already operate or manage:

  • Social media pages with authentic, engaged followers;
  • Blogs or independent websites;
  • Email newsletters;
  • Community pages or online groups;
  • News, entertainment, events or local-interest accounts; or
  • Professional publishing and audience-development channels.

Applicants are not required to write for Las Vegas News. People seeking to submit their own reporting, commentary or guest content should instead review the publication’s guest article submission program.

The Network Partner Program is an independent, performance-based opportunity. It is not employment, an hourly position or guaranteed income. Applying does not guarantee acceptance, and no purchase or application fee is required.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get paid to share news articles?

Approved Las Vegas News Network Partners may qualify for performance-based reader rewards when they share personalized article links and refer legitimate readers who satisfy the program’s qualification requirements. Rewards are not guaranteed, and not every recorded visit qualifies.

Do I need a large social media following?

Not necessarily. Audience authenticity, relevance and engagement may matter more than follower count alone. Applications are reviewed for overall program suitability.

Where can partners share article links?

Permitted channels may include Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, websites, blogs, newsletters, forums and community groups, provided the sharing method follows the destination platform’s rules and Las Vegas News program requirements.

Does every click count as a qualified reader?

No. Visits may be recorded, but only legitimate reader activity that satisfies engagement, validation and traffic-quality requirements can qualify.

Is there a fee to apply?

No purchase or application fee is required. Applications are subject to review, and acceptance is not guaranteed.

Is this the same as referring advertisers?

No. Network Partners distribute news articles and may qualify for reader-based rewards. Advertising Referral Partners refer prospective advertising customers and may qualify for commissions on eligible attributed sales.

Official program information: Eligibility, qualification, rewards, payout requirements and participation rules are governed by the current terms presented through the official Network Partner Program page. Program details may be updated as the initiative develops.
