Las Vegas police are seeking additional potential victims after the arrest of a teacher on felony charges, according to LVMPD.

LAS VEGAS — Detectives with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are asking potential victims to come forward following the arrest of a 36-year-old teacher accused of multiple sexually based offenses involving a pupil.

Jordan Bushey was arrested Feb. 23, 2026, by members of LVMPD’s Sexual Assault Detail in connection with alleged crimes that occurred within Las Vegas, according to police. Authorities said Bushey was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on six counts of a school employee engaging in a sex act with a pupil and one count of unlawful communication between a person of authority and a pupil.

Police did not release details about the specific school, timeframe of the alleged offenses or the age of the student involved. The investigation remains active.

Detectives said they believe there may be additional victims due to Bushey’s position as a teacher with ties to local youth students. Investigators are working to determine whether other incidents occurred and are urging anyone who may have had contact with Bushey in an educational setting to come forward.

“Anyone who may have been a victim or has information about this crime is encouraged to contact the Sexual Assault Detail,” police said in a statement.

LVMPD’s Sexual Assault Detail can be reached at 702-828-3421. Those wishing to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers of Nevada at 702-385-5555 or submit a tip online at www.crimestoppersofnv.com.

Under Nevada law, a school employee engaging in sexual conduct with a pupil is a felony offense, regardless of whether the student is above the age of consent. Prosecutors have not yet announced whether additional charges will be filed.

Bushey remained in custody as of Monday afternoon. Court records were not immediately available regarding bail or a preliminary hearing date.

Police emphasized that investigations involving alleged sexual offenses against minors often expand as additional information becomes available.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact authorities as the investigation continues.
