Incumbent Bill Hagerty won the U.S. Senate seat against Democratic challenger Marquita Bradshaw and several independent hopefuls.
The former state commissioner and ambassador built a big lead in early voting.
Hagerty raised more than $13 million for the current election cycle since 2021, according to the Federal Election Commission. In his 2020 campaign, Hagerty raised more than $8 million. In March 2025, President Donald Trump endorsed his campaign. In comparison, Bradshaw raised around $38,000.
In the current session of Congress, Hagerty has introduced or co-sponsored anti-immigration bills like the “End Housing Welfare for Illegal Aliens Act,” “Stop Illegal Aliens Drunk Driving” and the “ICE Protection Act of 2026.” His platform also includes lowering the cost of living and supporting Trump’s “America First agenda.”
