Happy Thursday,
Two weeks ago, I told you the only time I ever drink beer is during Oktoberfest. I must confess: That was a lie.
It wasn’t intentional, but it slipped my mind that I also make an exception for another popular beer-centered event: Michelada Festival Fort Worth.
The downtown street festival returns this Sunday to spotlight unique Mexican beer cocktail recipes typically made by mixing beer with lime juice, hot sauce, savory seasonings and tomato juice. Some vendors even throw in shrimp.
My description for a michelada might not sound the most convincing. But trust me, the cocktails are worth tasting.
Also, I’m excited to announce the Fort Worth Report has welcomed a new music columnist, Stephen Montoya. In his first column, Stephen spoke with local songwriter Sonny Votolato about his band’s new EP dropping in November.
