Fort Worth road off I-35W receiving storm drainage improvements

A section of Northside Drive off Interstate 35W is set to receive storm drain improvements in the coming months.

Those improvements are expected to cause temporary traffic delays and may impact travel along the commonly used corridor, according to remarks made by officials at an Oct. 29 public meeting.

The $1.8 million project is part of the city’s Stormwater Management Program and is intended to reduce roadway overtopping during heavy rainfall.

The project will help improve overall roadway safety, improve stormwater management infrastructure, and enhance roadway safety for motorists and nearby properties.

Rebcon, the contractor of the project, is set to start construction in January 2027 and end by the summer.
