The city of Las Vegas and Cox Communications will host the fourth annual Ward 5 Holiday Lighting Event on Nov. 20. Councilwoman Shondra Summers-Armstrong will join Cox officials to turn on the holiday lights along Martin L. King Jr. Boulevard. The event includes holiday music, hot chocolate and a performance by the Western High School Choir.
Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom honored New Kids on the Block with an official proclamation declaring November 12 as “New Kids on the Block Day,” along with presenting the group the Key to the Las Vegas Strip. The designation recognizes the heritage, culture, and contributions of Filipino Americans across Las Vegas and Clark County, with plans to spotlight small businesses, events, and community partnerships in the corridor.
