C’est Bon Kitchen leaving Shoppes on Peoria but ‘will remain in Tulsa,’ owner says 

C’est Bon Kitchen & Libations, the Cajun and Creole eatery led by chef David Franklin, is moving out of The Shoppes on Peoria in north Tulsa. 

Franklin, a native of New Orleans, made the announcement Monday on Facebook, saying he plans to close the North Peoria location and relocate to a new site. 

The restaurant’s last day of service will be Sept. 30.

Franklin told The Eagle a number of recurring issues at the North Peoria location, including problems with his landlord, led him to this decision. 

“I wish I would have took action sooner on certain things. I allowed things to go a little further than I should have allowed,” he said.

But Franklin is confident the move will allow him to reposition his “restaurant to deliver a better experience” for customers.

He wants to assure customers he’s not closing down for good. 

“We will remain in Tulsa and we will continue to deliver the authentic New Orleans experience that they have supported over a year and four months,” he said.

Franklin opened the restaurant in July 2025, specializing in dishes that reflect the culinary flavors he was raised on in Louisiana. C’est Bon was one of only a handful of sitdown establishments in north Tulsa.

“The positive is I’ve created a large footprint here in Tulsa. My brand, my product, created that footprint,” he said. “I know that my customers will support and will follow.”

After sharing the news on Facebook, Franklin said he received “texts and messages on social media all day with people wanting to know ‘where’s the new location.’”

Depending on how long it takes to identify a permanent site, Franklin said he may open a pop-up in the interim.
