LAS VEGAS (Las Vegas News) — Clark County honors employees marking milestone years of public service, honoring workers whose tenure ranges from 10 years to an extraordinary 45-year career during a recent Service Awards Brunch.

County officials said the annual recognition celebrates employees across multiple departments who have contributed years — and in some cases decades — of service to residents throughout Southern Nevada. Honorees included employees reaching 10-, 20- and 30-year milestones, along with one employee recognized for 45 years of continuous service with the county.

Commissioner Michael Naft and Commissioner William McCurdy II attended the event, joining county leadership in acknowledging the employees’ dedication. The ceremony also featured remarks from county officials who emphasized the importance of long-serving staff in maintaining continuity of operations, institutional knowledge and high standards of public service.

Clark County employs thousands of workers across departments responsible for public safety, public works, parks and recreation, social services, administrative operations and infrastructure management. Officials noted that milestone employees often serve as mentors within their divisions, helping train newer staff members while ensuring services remain consistent and responsive to community needs.

The event was organized by the county’s internal events team, often referred to as the “A Team,” which coordinated the Service Awards Brunch. County leaders also recognized the County Manager for hosting the ceremony and supporting workforce appreciation initiatives.

Officials said the annual Service Awards celebration is designed not only to recognize longevity, but also to reinforce a culture of service, teamwork and accountability. Long-term employees, leaders said, provide stability during periods of growth and change, particularly as Clark County continues to expand along with the broader Las Vegas Valley.

Clark County is Nevada’s most populous county, serving more than 2.3 million residents. It provides a wide range of regional services that support unincorporated areas as well as cities within the county, including oversight of infrastructure, public health initiatives, community programs and administrative services.

County leaders said honoring employees who dedicate decades of service reflects the county’s commitment to supporting its workforce while ensuring residents continue to receive reliable, effective public services across Southern Nevada.
