LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officially welcomed 43 new police officers into the Metro family this week as Class 04-2025 took the oath to protect and serve Clark County and the City of Las Vegas.
The graduation ceremony, held before proud family members, instructors, and community leaders, marked the culmination of months of rigorous academy training. For these new officers, it’s the beginning of a lifelong commitment to safeguarding Southern Nevada’s neighborhoods and strengthening trust between law enforcement and the community they serve.
“This group represents the best of our community,” the department announced. “Their dedication, diversity, and drive will help shape the future of law enforcement in Las Vegas.”
Diverse Backgrounds, One Mission

The 43 new officers of Class 04-2025 bring a remarkable range of experiences and talents to the force:

Their collective backgrounds reflect the department’s continued focus on recruiting individuals who represent the full diversity and character of the Las Vegas Valley.
From Training to Duty

After completing months of instruction in criminal law, defensive tactics, crisis response, and community policing, the graduates will now be assigned to field training across various LVMPD area commands.
The ceremony, attended by Sheriff Kevin McMahill and senior LVMPD leadership, underscored the importance of integrity, empathy, and resilience in modern policing. As part of the proceedings, each officer received their official badge — symbolizing their readiness to serve and protect.
“These men and women have proven they have what it takes,” one LVMPD training official said. “They’re stepping forward at a time when our community needs them most.”
Looking Ahead

Clark County Commissioners and local leaders congratulated the graduates, thanking them for their service and reaffirming their commitment to supporting law enforcement efforts countywide.
