Two Men Killed in Late-Night Shooting on Lewis Avenue, LVMPD Says

Homicide Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting

LAS VEGAS (LVN) — Homicide detectives with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that left two men dead late Monday night in central Las Vegas, authorities said.

According to police, officers were dispatched at approximately 9:31 p.m. on December 22 after reports of a shooting in the 1800 block of Lewis Avenue. When officers arrived, they located two adult males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Medical personnel responded to the scene and transported one of the victims to a local hospital, where he later died. The second victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives determined that an altercation involving multiple individuals occurred prior to the shooting. At least two people were shot during the incident, police said. No arrests have been announced, and investigators have not released suspect information.

The investigation remains active and is being led by the LVMPD Homicide Section.

The identities of the deceased victims, along with the official cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office once next-of-kin notifications are completed.
