Las Vegas Shooting at House Party Leaves Man Dead

LAS VEGAS (Las Vegas News) — Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Thursday morning outside a house party in the southeast Las Vegas Valley.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), officers were dispatched at approximately 1:32 a.m. on March 12, 2026, after multiple reports of gunfire in the 4300 block of Brookhaven Drive.

When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

The case has been assigned to the LVMPD Homicide Section.

Detectives determined the victim had been attending a house party in the neighborhood before the shooting occurred. Investigators say the man stepped outside the residence and was approached by a group of individuals.

Following a brief verbal exchange, gunfire erupted, striking the victim, according to police.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity pending notification of family members. The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Police have not announced any arrests or suspect descriptions as the investigation remains ongoing.
