CLARK COUNTY, Nev. — Clark County is seeking businesses and organizations to serve as employer partners for its 2026 Summer Business Institute (SBI), a workforce development initiative that provides paid, career-focused internships for local high school students.
The SBI program annually employs approximately 75 students from across the county, with Clark County managing all aspects of the hiring process, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll and wages. Partner employers host interns at their worksites and provide structured, real-world experiences intended to help students build professional skills and explore career pathways.

Internships run for eight weeks during the summer and are designed to expose students to workplace expectations through hands-on assignments, on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced professionals. County officials say the program benefits both students and employers by strengthening the local talent pipeline while giving young people an early start in career development.
Participating employers are expected to offer meaningful work assignments, guidance and supervision in a professional environment. In return, businesses gain access to motivated student interns without assuming responsibility for employment administration or compensation.
Clark County officials emphasized that the program also serves a broader community purpose by helping equip young people with practical skills, confidence and professional exposure that can support long-term educational and career success.
Businesses and organizations interested in participating as employer partners for the 2026 Summer Business Institute can submit an Employer Interest Form through Clark County’s online application portal.
