LAS VEGAS — Dak Prescott threw four touchdown passes and the Dallas Cowboys used a dominant second quarter to defeat the Las Vegas Raiders 33–16 on Monday night at Allegiant Stadium.
Prescott completed 25 of 33 passes for 268 yards with no interceptions, directing three touchdown drives in the second quarter after Dallas fell behind early. The win moved the Cowboys to 4-5-1, while the Raiders dropped to 2-8 in head coach Pete Carroll’s first season.
Las Vegas opened with a pair of Daniel Carlson field goals in the first quarter, but Dallas seized control with touchdown drives of 79, 63 and 52 yards. Prescott connected with CeeDee Lamb on an 18-yard score, Jake Ferguson on a 5-yard strike and George Pickens on a 37-yard deep ball to close out the half with a 24–9 lead.
Pickens finished with nine receptions for 144 yards and a touchdown. Lamb added 66 yards on five catches, while Ryan Flournoy caught the Cowboys’ fourth touchdown on a 2-yard pass early in the third quarter.
Javonte Williams led Dallas’ ground game with 93 rushing yards on 22 carries, helping the Cowboys control possession for more than 33 minutes.
The Raiders were limited to 236 total yards, including only 27 rushing yards. Geno Smith completed 27 of 42 passes for 238 yards with one touchdown and one interception. His 6-yard scoring pass to Tre Tucker with 11:48 left in the fourth quarter accounted for the team’s only touchdown.
Rookie tight end Brock Bowers led the Raiders with seven receptions for 72 yards.
Dallas’ defense recorded four sacks and held Las Vegas to 3-for-12 on third down. Maxx Crosby posted one sack and five total tackles for the Raiders.
A late safety, when Ashton Jeanty was tackled in the end zone, sealed the Cowboys’ 33–16 victory.
Dallas faces Philadelphia next week, while Las Vegas returns home looking to halt a stretch of six losses in its last seven games.
