Celebrating Las Vegas’ Past, Present, and Future

Parade entries are expected to highlight the diversity of Las Vegas, its origins as a 1905 railroad town, and its continuediled evolution into a global city. Cultural and historical organizations, schools, local artists, car and motorcycle clubs, service organizations, and community groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
“This is a citywide event,” said Shelley Berkley, mayor of Las Vegas. “From the marching bands to the beautiful horses and dancers, this parade celebrates our heritage and diversity. Everyone is invited to participate and celebrate our past and future.”
A Legacy Dating Back to 1935
The Helldorado Days Parade traces its roots to 1935 and commemorates the city’s founding milestones. May 15, 2026, marks the 121st anniversary of the 1905 land auction that led to the creation of Las Vegas, making the 2026 celebration particularly significant.
