LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was found dead Saturday evening in a northwest valley parking lot.

According to police, officers were dispatched at approximately 5:46 p.m. Feb. 14 to the 2000 block of North Buffalo Drive after multiple callers reported an unresponsive man lying in a business parking lot.

When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from what authorities described as an unknown type of puncture wound. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Detectives with the department’s Homicide Section responded to take over the investigation. Through preliminary investigative efforts, police learned the victim had been in the area with two other males prior to being discovered. Those individuals were seen fleeing the scene before officers arrived, according to LVMPD.

The identity of the victim, along with the official cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
