Detectives Seek Help Identifying Two People in Fatal Shooting Linked to Illegal Street Takeover

Detectives Seek Community’s Help Identifying Male and Female in Connection to Shooting

LVMPD investigates fatal shooting linked to illegal street takeover on Patrick Lane.

LAS VEGAS (LVN) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two individuals who detectives believe were present during a shooting that later turned deadly near an illegal street takeover event in the southwest valley.

According to LVMPD, dispatchers received reports of a street takeover at about 12:18 a.m. on Nov. 8 in the 5000 block of Patrick Lane. As officers arrived, they were met by a woman who reported that a man had been shot. Officers found a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and immediately began rendering aid until medical personnel arrived.

The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and died several days later, police said.

Detectives from the Homicide Section are now seeking to identify two people believed to have been on scene during the shooting. The first individual is described as a Black male adult wearing a black hoodie and dark pants. The second is described as a white or Hispanic female wearing a gray hoodie and light-colored jeans.

Investigators released photos and a previously recorded video briefing by Lt. Price from Nov. 12 as part of their renewed call for information. Police did not say whether the two individuals are suspects, witnesses, or persons of interest, but emphasized that identifying them is critical to the ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information about the shooting, or who can identify the two individuals, is urged to contact the LVMPD Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or email homicide@lvmpd.com. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or crimestoppersofnv.com.
